Help Us Expose Slutshaming Laws. Gain Experience. Make a Difference.

The Slut Map is an evolving project, and we need people to help us research, document, and track the laws that police sexuality worldwide. Whether you're passionate about fighting slutshaming, interested in journalism and media, or just want to contribute to something that sparks real change, we'd love to have you on board.

How You Can Get Involved
We run both online volunteer sessions and in-person workshops in various locations. These sessions are perfect for journalism, research, and media students, as well as anyone keen to develop investigative, writing, and advocacy skills.

📌 What You'll Learn:

  • How to find and verify laws that enforce slutshaming

  • How to submit Freedom of Information (FOI) requests

  • Copywriting and research methods for documenting laws clearly and concisely

  • How to track legal changes in the news cycle and update our database

  • How to contribute to our global spreadsheet of slutshaming laws

📌 What You'll Get:

  • Hands-on work experience in research, media, and advocacy

  • University/college-approved placements (we can work with your institution to make it official)

  • LinkedIn recommendations and references for future opportunities

  • A community of like-minded people who want to dismantle slutshaming—plus snacks and good tunes at in-person sessions
